The "Cold" hitmakers hinted at a possible announcement in the coming weeks

UPDATE - 08/13/17: Adam Levine has confirmed Maroon 5's sixth album will be released in November

Sneaky guys... Maroon 5 have posted yet another descriptive Instagram post online on Wednesday, hinting at what possibly will be a big announcement in the near future.

The group posted a clip from their recently uploaded Maroon V Tour wrap up video on Instagram. The description reads "The story will begin shortly..." with the hashtag #StayTunedInTheComingWeeks. Exciting, right? The "story will begin shortly..." line is akin to a similar line as seen at the end of their tour wrap up documentary, which reads "The story will begin at a later date... Starting at the point where it stopped... AKA TBC."

It is very possible Maroon 5 will be releasing a new single and announcing their highly anticipated sixth studio LP, the follow-up to 2014's successful No. 1 album V, in the coming weeks. It is also practical that they could be announcing another world tour, simply because they keep hinting at an announcement with clips of their concerts and live photos attached. Nothing has been confirmed, but we will have to see. The announcement will most likely take place in September.

Last year, Maroon 5 released the single "Don't Wanna Know", featuring rapper and labelmate Kendrick Lamar, which achieved mainstream success on radio airplay and the Billboard charts. Months later, they released another single, entitled "Cold", featuring rapper Future, which achieved similar success, becoming a Top 40/Pop hit worldwide. It has not been confirmed whether these two singles will be featured on the upcoming album or if they will serve as stand-alone singles.

In other news, over the past few months, members of Maroon 5 have been sharing Instagram posts depicting them in the studio with producer and songwriter Ricky Reed. It is speculated he has a big hand in the creative process of LP6. Reed is known for being a part of the musical duo Wallpaper. who has produced hits for Kesha, Meghan Trainor, and 5 Seconds of Summer. He is widely known for producing R&B/synthpop influenced music.

Stay tuned for more updated on the future announcement.
