How many times Adam Levine has sang "love" in Maroon 5 songs

Adam Levine has sang "love" how many times since 2002?

Since Maroon 5's inception, lead crooner Adam Levine has penned nearly all of the band's lyrics and the word "love" is no stranger to the band's dictionary.

Songs such as "Sunday Morning", "Won't Go Home Without You", "Never Gonna Leave This Bed", and "Daylight" (which are Maroon 5's biggest love songs ever to exist) don't mention the L word once while songs like "Give a Little More" and "Shoot Love" mention "love" more than 10 times.

Adam Levine has sung the word "love" a total of = 206 times.

The word is mentioned 27 times in Songs About Jane, 21 times in It Won't Be Soon Before Long, 23 times on the The B-Side Collection, 44 times on Hands All Over, 26 times on Overexposed, 62 times on V, and 2 times on the list of unlisted studio performances.

Before you scroll down and see the full list of how many times Levine has belted the L word, here are your top 3 songs that mention the word the most.

3. "New Love", 12 times

"New Love", the eighth track on Maroon 5's fifth studio album V, mentioned the word "love" approximately 12 times. The word is most prominent in the song's chorus, when Levine sings "This is a new love / This is a new love / This is a new love / Would it kill you to forgive me?"

2. "Give a Little More", 17 times

"Give a Little More", the second track and second commercial single released from Maroon 5's third studio album Hands All Over, mentioned the L word approximately 17 times in the song. "Love" is most prominent in the song's chorus "I'm not falling in love with ya, I'm not falling in love / I'm not falling in love with ya, I'm not falling in love."

1. "Shoot Love", 19 times

"Shoot Love", a bonus track taken from Maroon 5's fifth album V, mentioned the word "love" exactly 19 times. That's the most amount of times the word is heard in any Maroon 5 song ever. The word "love" is most prominent in the verse "Don't shoot love, baby / Don't shoot love / Don't shoot love, baby."

Below is the full list of songs taken from Songs About Jane, It Won't Be Soon Before Long, The B-Side Collection, Hands All Over, Overexposed, V, and other studio recordings that have the full statistics of how many times the word "love" is mentioned in them.

Maroon 5's 'Sugar' music video nears 1 billion views

A screenshot from Maroon 5's "Sugar" video in 2015.
One year later, Maroon 5's "Sugar" almost reaches 1 billion

It has been exactly one year ago today (Thurs, Jan. 14) since Maroon 5 premiered their controversial and highly praised music video for "Sugar", the third single off of the band's fifth album, V.

"Sugar" has acclaimed approximately 988,605,701 views (as of 04:30p.m. CST 14 January, 2016) since it's upload date on January 14, 2015.

Directed by David Dobkin, the director who worked on the famous romantic comedy The Wedding Crashers, the music video for "Sugar" was shot in various locations throughout Los Angeles. The video features the members of Maroon 5 legitimately crashing wedding,  hosting surprise and unplanned performances, despite controversies over whether or not some or all of the wedding footage was staged. Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine commented on the music video's acclaim, stating:

"It was an out of body experience. I had no idea I would be affected by the overwhelming reactions we received from the couples and guests. Being able to create an unforgettable experience for several people was the highlight of it all... It was a lot of fun. It felt good to kind of surprise these people and make them happy. Happy that they liked our band too. It would have been a total disaster [if not]."

The music video for "Sugar" is planned to surpass the 1 billion view mark come the end of January.

New Maroon 5 album rumors are reported false

Don't believe the hype, Maroon 5 fans

Throughout the past couple of days, a myriad of celebrity websites published articles that lead Maroon 5 fans to believe that the band were to release a new album early this year and that frontman Adam Levine had "8 songs reportedly finished."

Well, don't believe the hype, Maroon 5 fans. Early (false) reports of the Los Angeles group "working in the recording studio" over the holidays began with articles published by YouthHealthMag and MediaMass. The publications read: "According to a source, rumors of Maroon 5 (Adam Levine, ed) working in recording studio are true, with as many as eight songs having been put to tape. “It’s still in the early stages,” “They got security on the doors to ensure no-one hears a whisper,” a source said. "Levine has confirmed that 8 songs are done!"

The original article published by MediaMass was later confirmed false.

Although these specific reports were falsely reported, Maroon 5 are expected to record an album that is reminiscent to their debut album, Songs About Jane (2002).  James Valentine confirmed this after a Q&A was held on Facebook and a fan asked about Maroon 5's sixth album. "I think all of us want to make a more traditional record next... What do I mean by that? More like the way we made Songs About Jane, just sitting in a room with our instruments and slugging it out. It's been fun to experiment on the last couple of records with the more electronic sounds, but maybe we've gone as far as we can with that for now."

In the meantime, fans will just have to wait and look forward to Maroon 5's 2016 North American and South American tour later this year.

Adam Levine posts tweet and the world goes crazy

Adam Levine on The Voice.
A look back at Adam Levine's 2 craziest Twitter moments

Yesterday (Thursday, Jan. 7), Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine returned to Twitter. Even though his most recent post has left fans confused and off put, they are still hopeful that Levine will return to Twitter this year and tweet much more nonsense in the coming future.

If it's one thing we know Adam Levine loves to tweet about, it is definitely his opinion on today's popular music. "No more ironic flips of pop music into sad ballads in 2016 please," Levine tweeted out.

In the past, Levine hasn't held back anything when it comes to his personal opinion on music, or anything in general. In 2013, Levine took it to Twitter to tweet out something that allegedly was about pop superstar sensation Lady Gaga. "Ugh... recycling old art for a younger generation doesn't make you an artist. It makes you an art teacher," followed by, "I unabashedly love writing and performing pop music for both myself and everyone around me. That's it. It doesn't need any extra sauce." Gaga of course sought out to (indirectly) reply to his words, tweeting "Uh oh, guys. The art police is here." To that, Levine (indirectly) replied with "By the way, I'm not an artist. I sing in a band and I make music with my friends." He later even went on to tweet "Uh oh, guys. The grammar police is here." It was believed that Levien was taking a stab at Gaga's very over-the-top and dramatic approach at writing and performing pop music (in which I personally adore and love; being a fan of Gaga).

Adam's other most popular Twitter moments were when he appallingly tweeted at Fox News about the news channel playing Maroon 5's music as interludes between stories. Just under 2 years before the Lady Gaga feud, Levine took it to Twitter to tweet out: "Dear Fox News, don't play music on your evil f**king channel ever again. Thank you." Of course, a Fox News correspondent caught eye of the post and striked back as Fox News host Andrew "Andy" Levy tweeted: "Dear Adam Levine. Don't make don't make crappy f**king music ever again. Thank you." Another Fox News host, Gregory Gutfeld, also took a stab at Levine's comment, tweeting: "Dear Adam, that's not music. Fun joke: why did Maroon 5 cross the road? Because crappy music is legal there!" Fox News is notoriously known for their Republican-laden views and conservative-biased news broadcasts and, with Levine being a proud Democrat, took offense to Fox's use of Maroon 5's music.

4 things to expect from Maroon 5 in 2016

Maroon 5 in 2015.
A new tour, new music, and much more await us in 2016

2015 was sensational, memorable, and unforgettable for our favorite band Maroon 5. Maroon 5 became one of the best-selling artists of the year, scored a No. 1 single with "Sugar", took over the summer with an electrifying hit single identifying that your summer was going to hurt, bass guitarist Mickey Madden changed his name and formed his new band Collapsing Scenery, and frontman Adam Levine won The Voice's ninth season with Jordan Smith. But, it seems like the band is done being quite triumphant in 2016.

Here are just 4 things to get excited for and expect from the Los Angeles pop rockers in 2016.

4. "Feelings" music video

Has Maroon 5 ever filmed and produced a music video and never published it to the world? I don't think so. But, this may be the case with their latest single taken from their fifth studio effort, V, "Feelings", in which the music video was allegedly filmed on spot at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, California in early August. The music video was never released in 2015 and a set premiere date has not been confirmed or announced just yet. This could only mean that it is coming soon or it'll be scrapped, but to keep a positive mind and hope for it to drop would be the brighter thing to do. Besides, Maroon 5 at the Playboy Mansion would be one hell of a sight to see.

3. South American tour and headlining Rock in Rio show

It was revealed last year that Maroon 5 would be headlining 2016's annual Rock In Rio Lisbon at the Parque da Bela Vista in Lisbon, Portugal. They will be performing a headlining show on May 28th of this year. And Maroon 5 will be headlining their Maroon 5 World Tour in South America beforehand, beginning at the Parque Salitre Magico in Bogotá, Colombia on March 3 and will conclude at the Apoteose Arena in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil on March 20, 2016.

2. Maroon 5 will tour with Tove Lo, PHASES, and R. City

One of the most anticipated concert tours of 2016 is Maroon 5's headlining North American tour with musical acts Tove Lo, R. City, and PHASES. The 26 date tour will kick off at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas on September 3 and will conclude at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California on October 16, 2016. In case you aren't excited enough for the opening acts, Tove Lo is most famous for her hit singles "Habits (Stay High)" and "Talking Body", PHASES was James Valentine's old band that changed their name from JJAMZ after Valentine's departure, and R. City are the hypeman of hip hop and shared a hit single, "Locked Away", with Adam Levine last year which charted in the top 20 in numerous countries.

1. Maroon 5's sixth record

A controversial headline, I know, but it is very possible that we could be getting a new Maroon 5 album by 2016's end. In an open Facebook Q&A with guitarist James Valentine with Live Nation in November, he teased at the band's sixth album a few times. After being asked about Maroon 5 doing a live CD/DVD album, Valentine responded stating "Good idea. I'll bring that up with the band, it's probably time." When a fan asked where Maroon 5 will be in 5 years from now, Valentine replied saying "Great question. I think all of us want to make a more traditional record next... What do I mean by that? More like the way we made Songs About Jane, just sitting in a room with our instruments and slugging it out. It's been fun to experiment on the last couple of records with the more electronic sounds, but maybe we've gone as far as we can with that for now." Can you imagine the next Maroon 5 album sounding like Songs About Jane? As of the last 6 years, Maroon 5 has put out a new full-length studio album once every two years. The band released their fourth record, Overexposed, in June 2012, just short of two years after their third album Hands All Over was released. And V dropped just over two years thereafter in September 2014. So, theoretically, we could expect a new Maroon 5 album anywhere between September and December of 2016. As far as a lead single goes, that is a hard prediction to make. Also, take into consideration Maroon 5's busy touring schedule this year as well as Levine, PJ Morton, and Mickey Madden's side projects this year. It's a tough call, but I think it could happen.

Top 7 Maroon 5 moments of 2015

Maroon 5 in 2014.
From the domination of "Sugar" to Adam's bleached blonde hair

2015 was an awe-inspiring year for Los Angeles pop rock outfit Maroon 5 and they've had numerous accomplishments throughout the past year, but some moments flew over some of our heads.

7. Adam Levine's hair evolution of 2015

If it's anything any fan of Adam Levine or Maroon 5 hate a lot, it's Adam's random and erratic hair transformations. Adam came into 2015 with a full head of beautiful dark hair and fans were absolutely shocked to find out that Levine shaved his entire head over the summer and debuted his bald ambition upon the season 9 premiere of The Voice. A few months later and only weeks after the season 9 finale in December, Levine reintroduced his bleached blonde hair style. Some fans were outraged, horrified, and nauseate over Levine's choice, however some were excited to see him return to his freaky, punk-boy blonde look. Levine performed with Maroon 5 during their 2 Las Vegas New Years Eve shows with the blonde look and made for more excitement. We can only imagine what Adam will choose to do during 2016 with his hair.

6. Adam Levine getting flour-bombed

Before the hype that was Maroon 5's "This Summer's Gonna Hurt Like a Motherfu**er" back in May, Adam Levine was scheduled to be interviewed on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Maroon 5 were set to perform as the musical guest. But, before the taping of the show, Levine decided to go sign some autographs outside of the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood when all of the sudden some dude flour-bombed Adam right in the face. Leaked videos from fans' cell phones showed that Levine was clearly angered and body gaurds quickly pulled Adam away from the scene. The man who allegedly bombed Levine was arrested for battery.

5. Maroon 5 took over Las Vegas

Like the past few years, Maroon 5 decided to spend the final 2 nights of 2015 performing headlining shows at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. The supporting act for both nights were guitarist James Valentine old band, PHASES (formerly known as JJAMZ). Maroon 5 performed a 17 song set to 12,000 people.

4. Jesse Carmichael upsets China

Maroon 5 were forced to cancel their anticipated headlining shows in China in September earlier this year, but the reason for that was never ever confirmed. However, it was speculated among several people that it could have been because of a tweet that member Jesse Carmichael sent out on the Fourth of July. Jesse reportedly tweeted out: "Happy Birthday America (and The Dalai Lama too) sang happy birthday to his holiness today." Time Out Beijing magazine later published a statement stating: "We hear musings about Maroon 5 being prevented from performing by our political friends up above." Long story short, Carmichael's tweet may have offended many and kept the band from performing in Beijing and Shanghai this year.

3. Adam Levine gets turned down

It's safe to say that if you walk up to anyone on the street and ask them what their celebrity crush is, they'd reply saying "Adam Levine" or "that one guy from Maroon 5" or "the dude from The Voice, but no the country guy." And it is evident that if you would have asked 3 year old Mila, then you would get one of the above answers. A video went viral of Mila crying after her mother recorded her reaction of learning that Levine was a married man. Ellen DeGeneres got ahold of it and asked Mila and her mother to come in and make fun out of the situation. Then wham! A surprise visit from Adam sent Mila into an awkward state. After Adam handed the little girl a flower and asked for a hug, she denied it all. It was clear Mila was over Mr. Levine.

2. "This Summer" hurt like a motherfu**er

According to the boys in Maroon 5, they predicted that your summer of 2015 was going to hurt. In some way. The band released their single "This Summer's Gonna Hurt", in promotion for their re-release of V, in late May. It's somewhat controversial music video was taken down after being flagged for showing Adam Levine's bare naked ass in the beginning of the video for a mere 4 seconds. The band reuploaded the video and sparked the #1 trending Twitter topic #FuckCensorship. According to Music Times, the song "[...] takes on breakups, with Levine decrying his ex-girlfriend for being shallow and "fancy" all while admitting that being without her is going to make this summer kind of suck." Maroon 5 performed the single on The Voice and eventually charted at #10 on the Mainstream Chart.

1. "Sugar" dominated radio

Maroon 5 had one of the biggest and most popular singles on the radio in 2015. "Sugar", the third single cut from the band's fifth studio album V, was launched to contemporary radio almost an entire year ago in January and was accompanied with one of the most viewed music videos of 2015. A disco, funk-pop, and soul track, "Sugar" charted in the top 10 in over 20 countries worldwide including hitting #1 in Canada, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey, Venezuela, among several others. In the United States, "Sugar" peaked atop the Adult Top 40 and Mainstream Songs chart, and charted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, selling 3.5 millions singles in the United States. The song was later remixed featuring a sweet rap verse by Nicki Minaj which launched the single into mainstream once again in the spring. The music video, directed by David Dobkin (who directed the comedy Wedding Crashers), featured Maroon 5 crashing random weddings throughout Los Angeles and documented them. Despite their being controversy about the weddings in the music video being staged, "Sugar" received 960 million views as of December 31, 2015 and became the 2nd most watched music video of the year.
