Maroon 5, Fall Out Boy Mashup 'Centuries/Animals' Goes Viral

Fall Out Boy/Maroon 5 mash-up cover.
Maroon 5's "Animals" gets a remix with Fall Out Boy's "Centuries"

Ever wonder what Adam Levine's precious vocals would sound like on top of a Fall Out Boy arena rock anthem?

Earlier today (Sun, Nov. 30), a mash-up of Maroon 5's latest hit single "Animals" and Fall Out Boy's single "Centuries" surfaced the web via Tumble, and was uploaded by user pengwinglock. The remix features the instrumental track of "Centuries" fallen behind the vocals, along with some additional drums, of Adam Levine and Maroon 5. And the results are none-the-less epic.

Fall Out Boy's lead singer Patrick Stump recently took the role as mentor on Team Adam for NBC's The Voice last week when the show's contestants were rehearsing. The Fall Out Boys recently announced the release of their upcoming sixth studio album, American Beauty/American Psycho as well, set to be released on January 20, featuring the "Centuries" hit.

What do you think of the mash-up? Let us know!

Adam Levine and Blake Shelton Confess About Their 'Voice' Friendship

Adam and Blake on The Voice (2013).
Blake Shelton claims Adam's Starbucks cup is full of crack cocaine

E! Online joined the live red carpet event last week on Tuesday (Nov. 25) to talk with The Voice coaches and their host, Carson Daly about the show's uprising and the friendships that were made behind it. And they most definitely caught up with coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

Adam Levine first claims that his Starbucks cup, as seen on the recent live playoff episodes, is filled with nothing other than coffee. Country star, Blake, however thinks it's a different story. "Adam has, uh, some crack that he keeps in his cup [...] he supports that kind of thing." Shelton continues to explain how he has had "every damn brand" of alcohol in his Starbucks cup.

Carson Daly talked with E! on the red carpet about the Blake and Adam relationship. "I think underneath it all, there is a love [...] they're like brothers. They're like girls, sometimes, too."

Adam Levine rocked The Voice stage with his team performing "Only The Good Die Young"

On the live results show of The Voice on Tuesday (Nov. 25), the show's famous coaches and their teams took the stage live to perform, but not necessarily for America's votes. Just for fun.

Coach Adam Levine took the stage with his team, Chris Jamison, Matt McAndrew, and Damien to perform the Billy Joel No. 1 hit single, "Only the Good Die Young."

During the live results show, Team Adam saw some luck, in which Adam's top 3; Chris, Damien, and Matthew were saved in the event. Levine remains the only coach on the season to have as many as 3 contestants on their team.

Maroon 5 Tops Billboard Mainstream Pop Chart With 'Animals'

Snapshot of the Maroon 5 video for "Animals."
Maroon 5 adds "Animals" to their list of No. 1 hits on the Pop Songs chart

Maroon 5 scored their 7th number-one hit single on the Billboard Pop Songs chart this week with "Animals", from their fifth studio album, V, which is, thus far, the only single from the album to top the tally. "Maps" - V's lead single - last peaked at No. 2 on the Pop Songs chart in September (it currently sits at No. 23 on the chart).

The last time Maroon 5 spent a week atop the Pop Songs chart was with the Overexposed hit single, "Daylight" which peaked atop the chart in January 2013. Overexposed spawned 3 No. 1 Pop hits - including "Payphone" featuring Wiz Khalifa, "One More Night" (which spent 9 weeks atop the Hot 100 in 2012), and "Daylight". "Love Somebody", Overexposed's fourth and final cut, only peaked at No. 2 on the Pop Songs chart.

Maroon 5 first scored their first No. 1 single on the Billboard Pop Songs chart with "This Love", from the band's debut effort - Songs About Jane - back in 2004. "She Will Be Loved", the third single from SAJ, went in the books as the band's second No. 1 hit on the tally.

Maroon 5's next single "Sugar" from the V album is set to be released to mainstream pop radio and top 40 contemporary radio on January 13, 2015. Adam Levine sponsored the single in a recent Nissan GT-R advertisement, which you can watch it here!

Adam Levine passes the Sexiest Man Alive torch on to Chris Hemsworth

It was announced earlier today (Tues, Nov. 18) that superstar and supersexy actor Chris Hemsworth is serving as this year's reigning Sexiest Man Alive, according to People Magazine.

Last November, Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice coach Adam Levine was crowned the Sexiest Man Alive, following-up Channing Tatum who dominated 2013's SMA title.

Adam Levine Speaks About Spotify Vs. Taylor Swift Epidemic

Taylor Swift on the left, Adam Levine on the right.
Adam Levine had some food for thought on the recent T-Swift Vs. Spotify buzz

Adam Levine, along with the other The Voice coaches Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and Pharrell Williams, sat down and talked with BuzzFeed on a live streaming interview special on Facebook earlier today (Mon, Nov. 17), and covered several topics including the recent news about Spotify's trouble with country-turned-pop star Taylor Swift.

When asked what the coaches' opinions were on the topic of Taylor Swift's label ripping her catalog completely off of free streaming service Spotify last month, the Maroon 5 front man had a few words to say. “Music is for everyone,” Levine said. “I don’t care how anybody obtains it as long as they get it and enjoy and love it.” He added that as long as the consumer is “supporting the artist in some way,” they should be able to access music how they choose. “Music should be able to be wherever it is,” he said. “That’s how I feel.”

Although what Levine said was more of an off topic, indirect answer to the question, it was informal and obtained as a positive outlook on the music industry versus real artistry.

5 Times James Valentine Rocked a Striped Shirt

James (left) and Adam on MTV in 2012.
James Valentine's best moments of wearing a stripped shirt are counted down

Frontman Adam Levine is known for his plain-white T and blue skinny jeans, Mickey is known for his dorky glasses, Matt for his black T-shirts and his little goatee, and then there is James. Let's just say, if James had a starter kit it would contain a variety of stripped shirts (including the one pictured above).

We're giving you a fun and amusing countdown for you today, that being said, let's start the 5 times James Valentine rocked a stripped shirt countdown.

5. When James was teaching you how to play "She Will Be Loved"

Aside from his amazing voice, sick locks of hair, and obvious guitar playing skills, Mr. Valentine rocked a stripped shirt giving us a live-version lesson of Maroon 5's classic hit single, "She Will Be Loved." Have fun trying to concentrate on the task at hand...

4. When James serenaded us with "She Will Be Loved" live in concert

Maroon 5 is known for their lengthy, energetic, and groovy live shows, however, when Matt, Mickey, Sam, and PJ step off stage for a quick break from their set, Adam Levine and James take their talent to the forefront of the stage to perform an angelic acoustic rendition of "She Will Be Loved", and at this particular moment at the O2 Arena in London, England, James caught our eyes with his sweet, sweet stripped attire.

3. When James taught us how to play "Payphone" on guitar

Different day. Different lesson, Different song. And a different amazing, bright, and blue stripped shirt.

2. When James rocked "Jagger" on guitar at Rock In Rio

What's one of Maroon 5's biggest hits of all time? "Moves Like Jagger." What makes "Jagger" such an amazingly catchy hit? ...Other than Adam's slick high-notes, it's the guitar. Who plays the guitar? James Valentine. Who rocked the guitar live playing "Jagger" at Rock In Rio in 2011? James.

1. When James sung "Seven Nation Army" in front of 100,000 people in Brazil

Ok. So maybe he's not quite wearing a stripped shirt here, however this is one of Valentine's best moments. Ever. So without further-a-do, here's James singing The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" live in Sao Paulo. (Maybe his black shirt has tiny black stripes?)

Maroon 5 Meets New Peak With 'Animals' on Billboard Chart

Maroon 5 in 2014.
"Animals" roars into the Top 3 on the Billboard Hot 100

Maroon 5's hit single, "Animals", the latest cut from their fifth studio album, V, is slowly making it's way up the Billboard Hot 100 top 10, this week sliding up from last week's position of 4 to 3. "Animals" debuted on the Hot 100 over 12 weeks ago at No. 86.

Billboard reported yesterdayMaroon 5's "Animals" reaches a new Hot 100 high, pushing 4-3. It gains across-the-board, climbing 5-3 on Radio Songs (126 million, up 19 percent) and bulleting on Digital Songs (3-5; 114,000, up 4 percent) and Streaming Songs (10-13; 5.3 million, up 3 percent), despite backward moves on the latter two rankings.

A few fun facts, the band's single "Maps", the first cut from V, debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and eventually snuck it's way up to No. 6. "Animals" marks the band's 5th Hot 100 top 3, and Maroon 5's first since "One More Night" charted at No. 1 for 9 weeks in 2012.

Gawker Wants Adam Levine Off 'The Voice'

Adam Levine on The Voice.
What would you do if Adam Levine wasn't on The Voice's judging panel anymore?

Last night's debut live episode of The Voice of the season has upset some people, more specifically Gawker, and mainly because of coach Adam Levine.

Earlier today, gossip and news website Gawker posted an article that set off 'Voice' fans, Maroon 5 fans, and Adam Levine fans alike. The post was simply titled "What Number Do We Call To Get Adam Levine Off The Voice?" And this upset viewers. A lot.

The article, edited and written by publisher Tracie Potochnik, was descriptive and very informative in describing how badly Adam Levine is apparently wrecking the show's credibility. "We've reached the Live Rounds of The Voice," the article starts off. "...and if this show is A) as committed to democracy as it claims to be; B) going to start off the episode with a performance of Maroon 5's new single, then it is our constitutional right to be afforded a mechanism by which to eliminate Adam Levine. Maybe that's what the app is for?"

The article later, then, started listing off a few "convincing" reasons as to why the Maroon 5 front man should be eliminated from The Voice's start-studded judging panel, in the form of a small and simple list. "1. Those pants." If Levine's wardrobe offends you, and not Pharrell Williams' strange looking jacket and hat he wore on last night's Live Rounds episode, then I personally think you're a tad deranged. "2. Also everything else." Very convincing, Gawker... The article later insists that Levine often gives "legit advice" and only did good by bringing Fleetwood Mac front woman Stevie Nicks onto the show's guest list as an advisor, but for Team Adam. Gawker went on to explain how the best performance of the night on last night's debut Voice Playoffs episode was Team Adam's very own Damien, who sung "I'm Not the Only One", the latest from Sam Smith's catalog. Ok. Without Adam Levine, Damien probably wouldn't have made it this far on the season.

What do other critics and viewers think of Adam Levine's presence on the NBC hit television show? Gossip magazine website Hollywood Life reported that "Damien easily stole the night with a standing ovation thanks for the incredible [Adam Levine]" and said that they enjoyed the "super sexy performance from Adam Levine [...] and Maroon 5." PennLive reported "Levine gave a mighty howl that sent shivers up the spines of many." And People magazine spoke out and said "There's a damn good reason we gave Mr. Levine the Sexiest Man Alive title."

Plus, Adam Levine is scheduled to return as coach for the show's 8th season starting next February!

What do you think of Adam Levine's role as a coach on The Voice? Do you think it's fraying away? Or is he at his strongest this season? Let us know in the comments or Tweet us @M5NewsRoom!

Maroon 5 to Release 'Sugar' to Radio in January

Maroon 5.
Maroon 5 will impact radio with "Sugar" in January

We have a release date for when "Sugar" will impact radio.

It was announced earlier today (Thurs, Nov. 6) by Maroon 5's general manager Jordan Feldstein that "Sugar" will be indeed set to impact radio airwaves worldwide on January 13, 2015.

Along with the announcement of the "Sugar" release date, it was also confirmed that the Dr. Luke-assisted hit will be featured in a Nissan campaign that is set to launch on November 8.

Reported by Billboard, in the past 18 months, Maroon 5 has worked with three different car brands. Those include Honda on the Civic Tour last year, Kia on a campaign with the single "Animals" that premiered during the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this year, and frontman Adam Levine is part of the Nissan activation through The Voice and now will be featured in this newest ad. This is a unique benefit allowed by Levine's role on The Voice, avoiding issues of exclusivity to any company.

So now, we just need to know when the new "Sugar" video is dropping!
